Research Overview

Jaehyeong Bae conducts multidisciplinary research at the intersection of functional materials, additive manufacturing, and energy and environmental science. His work encompasses photoacid-enabled liquid-state photovoltaics, solvogel-passivated lithium-metal anodes, stretchable hydrogel supercapacitors, chemical and temperature sensors, nonclassical nucleation and crystallization, and direct ink writing.

His current research advances functional materials and additive manufacturing through direct ink writing of aerogels and liquid metals for thermal management, functional hydrogels for carbon capture, and embedded 3D printing for biomedical applications.
